Pantry & grocery setup before you arrive
Pantry & Grocery Setup from Ceiba Dining Co is grocery delivery to your villa in Puerto Viejo and along the coast, with everything put away before you check in. Share your host’s or villa manager’s contact and Chef Julián arranges the rest, so you arrive to fresh fruit, cold drinks and breakfast for the morning.
How does pantry setup work?
Tell us what you’d like waiting in the kitchen, and share your host’s or villa manager’s contact. Julián arranges access and timing directly with them. It’s a small town, and he knows many of the hosts.
About 15 days’ notice is ideal. One week is often possible, depending on your arrival time, location and host.
- Share your list, arrival date and your host’s contact
- Receive a quote and confirm
- Julián shops, coordinates with your host and stocks the kitchen before check-in
Why arrive to a stocked kitchen?
The drive to the southern Caribbean is long, and many rentals sit a way from the shops. Arriving late, in the dark or in the rain, the last thing anyone wants is a supermarket run.
With the pantry set, your first evening starts on the terrace with a cold drink.
What can we stock?
Julián’s fridge-stock list, adjusted to your group and whatever you ask for. Extra essentials are available on request, charged at cost, and during your stay he can also do grocery runs, with you covering the products.
- Water, fresh juices and seasonal fruit
- Yogurt, local cheese and pasture-raised eggs
- Homemade banana bread and sourdough
- Patí and plantintá, the Caribbean pastries of Limón
- Snacks and grab-and-go bites for the beach

How far ahead should I send my list?

How are grocery costs handled?
Your quote covers the stock-up you agree on. Extra essentials are available on request, charged at cost, and for grocery runs during your stay you simply cover the products.
How do you get into the villa?

Can I combine pantry setup with a dinner?
Yes. Pantry stocking can be combined with breakfasts, lunches and dinners in one multi-day package. Mention it in your request and we’ll quote it together.
